WISTERIA frutescens 'Amethyst Falls'
|
Description: This native to the southeastern US should be more widely grown. Though it can grow 20 to 30 feet, it is much less aggressive and invasive than the Asian species. This clone has lovely, fragrant lavender-blue flowers which are 3/4 of an inch long with a yellow spot in dense, 4 to 6 inch racemes from June to August on new growth, much later than the Asians.
