Description: Now for those of you who want something really rare; Practically unknown in American gardens, F. suffruticosa has light green leaves and an attractive upright, arching growth habit. Flowers appear in mid to late summer and are a greenish white, followed by green fruit capsules, neither of which are very showy. It prefers well drained soils and full sun. F. suffruticosa adds a graceful touch in borders, parks, or residential landscapes. It is one of the 50 fundamental herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine, where it has the name yi yè qiu (???). Mature height about 6-8 feet. Zones 4-7.
