Hybridized/Introduced By: Carl Whitcomb Description: Dynamite® is the first true red tree form crape myrtle. Cherry red flowers generally appear by early July and continue until frost. Seed production is modest and pods do not need to be removed in order to have prolonged flowering. Crimson new leaves quickly change to green and to orange in fall. Grows 20 feet or more. Drought-tolerant and highly resistant to powdery mildew. | ||||
