ITEA virginica 'Theodore Klein'
|
Description: Was discovered and introduced by Mark Griffith who found it sport of 'Saturnalia' in his field. It is a more compact grower. A great form of a great native shrub with bright red fall color and pendant white racemes of flowers. He named it after the late nurseryman from Kentucky. The University of Kentucky Nursery/Landscape Program named a Plant Award for Theodore Klein.
