Hybridized/Introduced By: Clagett. "Bowie Mill" hybrid Parentage: (Koromo Shikibu X and indicum hybrid)
Description: This is an outstanding new addition to the expanding line of hybrids based on the strap-petaled 'Koromo Shikibu'. The lavender and white flowered versions are now joined by this version, which has purplish-rose flowers with strap-like petals arranged in a whorl. Truly a terrific addition to the other two colors we have offered in the past. It blooms in mid-May and promises to stop garden browsers in their tracks, just as the other colors do. Looks like it will grow twice as wide as it is tall. Outstanding.
