RHODODENDRON 'Neat-O'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Goheen Parentage: (campanulatum X yakushimanum ‘Koichiro Wada’)
Description: What a terrific plant! With glossy dark green rounded foliage and bright rusty-orange indumentum, it is easy to grow and could be hardier than the above rating. Among the very earliest varieties to bloom, the buds are neyron rose. The flowers open lighter, shading to a very pale rose, eventually becoming white in perfectly ballshaped trusses. One of ours (we have many!) is planted on top of a mound so we can enjoy the bright orange indumented leaf undersides all year long.
