RHODODENDRON 'My Jane'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Anderson/Bondira/Jasionowski Parentage: [‘Arctic Gold’ X (‘Hardgrove’s Deepest Yellow’ x ‘Phipp’s Yellow’ (# 32)]
Description: This plant expresses what good thoughtful breeding can produce. The Andersons combined 'Arctic Gold' from Weston Nurseries, a rugged, wider-than-tall plant with great foliage and full trusses of light yellow flowers, with genes from two of the best-known yellows from Long Island. The result was: Large, 8 inch trusses of large light yellow flowers with two small red rays in the throat and a plant with olive green leaves. Dr. Jazz(pictured) was so impressed with this beauty that he named it for another beauty, his wife.
