RHODODENDRON 'Mary Yates'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Yates Parentage: ('Pink Twins' X 'Leah Yates')
Description: This Henry Yates hybrid is little known, but deserves wider distribution. Its dense dark green leaves make this is a terrific foliage plant. Young plants have been among our most vigorous growers, yet it seems to mature to a relatively low and wide habit. The flowers are rose pink with a lighter center. There is a hint of pale yellow in the throat. It's in about 40% shade in our garden and has always been a reliable bloomer regardless of the type of winter we have.
