Hybridized/Introduced By: Gable Parentage: (fortunei, cream form x vernicosum Rock 18139)
Description: A classic plant that should be more widely known and grown. Some hybridizers disparage loose open trusses on rhododendrons, but Mary's trusses are precisely what make this plant special. The large trumpet shaped flowers in early midseason hang elegantly in a graceful, informal manner and are a uniquely colored blend of salmon-yellow and bronze-red, fading to creamy yellow.
