R. (AZALEA) DECIDUOUS 'Fragrant Star'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Briggs Parentage: (atlanticum X canescens)
Description: Another one of the 'Franken Plants' developed at Briggs Nursery. This is a polyploid form (doubled chromosomes) of 'Snowbird,' which is considered by many to be the most fragrant deciduous azalea. This retains all the good qualities, but has larger, pure white flowers, more substantial leaves and thicker branches. It has the same beautiful glaucous (blue) foliage and is also extremely fragrant. Heat tolerant as well.
