TSUGA canadensis 'Cole's Prostrate'
|
Description: The best dwarf spreading Canadian Hemlock. Completely prostrate, the stems very slowly spread out horizontally or weep right over walls and rocks. Older stems near the center become exposed with age and show their gnarly character. Collected by H. R. Cole of the former Grey and Cole Nursery of Massachusetts, in 1929 near Mt. Madison, in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.
