STEWARTIA sinensis
|
Description: This less common Stewartia is among the finest. We have found it grows well in central New Jersey. Flowers are on the small side, about 1.5–2 inches, but grow this choice, small 15-25 foot tree for its gorgeous smooth, light tan-colored bark, nice habit and fall color.
