RHODODENDRON 'Shorty'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Delp Parentage: (['Epoch' x self] X 'Hi Tech')
Description: 'Shorty' may be short in stature but it is long on color. This tough, first week of May bloomer is lavender-pink with a dark reddish-pink throat highlighted by red anthers. The whole effect is electrifyingly neonic (is that a word?). It's a standout color when there is little else in bloom. Your garden, at that time, needs a color wake up call, and 'Shorty' will do the job. Luckily, its color subsides in time for the emergence of other, softer colored rhododendrum in mid-May. 'Get Shorty'.
