RHODODENDRON 'Milestone'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Mezitt Parentage: (minus var. minus x dauricum var. sempervirens)
Description: Bright reddish-pink flowers in trusses of 3 to 5. Leaves are small and matte green. In cold climates, fall foliage is outstanding; turning bright red before December. After that, the plant becomes semi-deciduous. This Weston Nursery hybrid was so named because it blooms about the day the Boston Marathon is run, and the nursery is at the first milepost of the race.
