RHODODENDRON 'Jay Murray'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Dave Lewis Parentage: (carolinianum X mucronulatum 'Pink Panther')
Description: Named for our North American Registrar of Plant Names. This is a late April blooming medium growing lepidote with shiny dark foliage. Its extra large wavy-edged pink flowers are borne profusely in trusses of 4–6. 'Jay Murray' puts on quite a show toward the end of the usual lepidote season, and deserves to be used more in the well-balanced garden. An open tall grower, it takes well to shearing.
