Hybridized/Introduced By: Gable Parentage: (A selection of vernicosum aff., Rock 18139)
Description: Joe Gable selected two plants from the batch of collected in the wild seeds numbered 18139 from a Rock expedition. He introduced two forms which were later named 'Kulu' and this one, 'Mount Siga.' Its large flowers have been described as orient pink with a deeper color in the throat. To us, this is the “peachy pink” one. 'Mount Siga' blooms in late April to early May and is therefore one of the earliest elepidotes. It is also slightly fragrant; has a rounded habit; and produces early large peachy–pink flowers. Fragrant, good habit . . . what's not to like about 'Mount Siga'?
