RHODODENDRON 'Roseum Elegans'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Waterer before 1851 Parentage: (catawbiense hybrid)
Description: An "Ironclad" that has proven itself under a variety of conditions from hot summer sun to sub-zero winters. The rosy-lilac flowers fade to a light lilac pink. An excellent plant, compact in habit, it can grow large when placed in a favorable position. It has found a place in plantings in many different climates around the world. There must be a reason for its being the most widely grown hardy rhododendron hybrid over the past 150 years. Why? Because it grows and survives!!!
