Hybridized/Introduced By: Leach Parentage: [maximum 'Mount Mitchell' X ('Mars' x 'Fanfare')]
Description: This interesting plant is a hybrid of a true red flowered maximum; the only one we are aware of. It exhibits the late bloom, tall, full truss of 16-19 flowers and the large, longish leaves of maximum. The flowers are larger than maximum, bright red with a white throat and small yellow dorsal flare. A robust plant with an upright habit, it can be an open grower, but pinching will help. Great for extending your bloom season into June.
