RHODODENDRON ('Nova Zembla' X 'Florence Archer')
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Schannen Parentage: ('Nova Zembla' X 'Florence Archer')
Description: Another of our new introductions for which we will soon choose a name. The flowers are lax trusses of deep red bells that are very unusual for an eastern hybrid. A precocious budder, often as a rooted cutting (!) and certainly by its second year. A vase-shaped plant in habit, it is clothed in dark matte green leaves. Useful as a niche foreground plant and unforgettable in flower.
