RHODODENDRON 'Maximum Roseum'
|
Parentage: (maximum hybrid).
Description: An old standby that is also known as 'Ponticum Roseum' and a variety of other names. They are either the same plant or closely related seedlings. The flowers are pinkish with a hint of lilac, held upright in a pleasing, full, dome-shaped truss. It blooms late, often around Memorial Day or later, but way before the species R. maximum. It fills the flowering gap between late May and late June. The leaves are narrow and deep matte green. The plant is upright and grows large.
