Description: This early yak hybrid, introduced by old time rhododendron breeder Bob Bovee is still an outstanding variety. It has dark green leaves with tan indumentum. The buds emerge in mid-May as bright reddish pink and open white with pink highlights. Blooms at an early age. This adaptable plant grows well in Zones 5-8.
