Description: One of the “Raise the Roof" series of rhododendrons introduced by Mark Brand of the University of Connecticut with names related to UConn's outstanding basketball team. All are very cold hardy. 'Hoopla' has purplish-pink buds opening to lighter colored pink flowers with a large pale pink/yellow blotch which fades to yellow. The resulting swirl of color is stunning!
