RHODODENDRON yakushimanum (degronianum) ssp. yakushimanum 'Exbury form'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Rothschild/Wada
Description: We offer plants grown from cuttings of the original form sent to Rothschild by Koichiro Wada in 1932. Flowers emerge with a touch of pink, and quickly go to white. Deep green glossy leaves have heavy light tan indumentum and new growth is covered with silvery tomentum. An extraordinary species for moderately cold climates. The best!!! The Paul Simon song says it all for me: “Still crazy (about you) after all these years.”
