R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN macrosepalum var. linearifolium
|
Parentage: (a selection of macrosepalum)
Description: This azalea is strikingly unusual with its long narrow ( 1/8 inch x 2 inches) hairy leaves and strap-like flowers of similar proportions. The flowers look like lavender-pink spiders at the branch tips. It grows to a rounded shrub of about 3 feet at maturity. This variety can add great textural interest to the garden.
