ACER palmatum 'Corallinum'
|
Description: Its spring blush of brilliant red can hold its own with the many flowers in bloom at the same time. Leaves turn bright red and pink and finally change to blue-green. Its small, delicate leaves are sometimes flecked with white and the dark purple bark also exhibits some color interest in the winter. Grows into a bushy tree close to 6 feet in 10 years.
Place this plant in a spot with afternoon shade because the
leaves will burn in full sun in the summer.
