PAXISTIMA canbyi
|
Description: Native to Virginia and West Virginia. This rarely encountered, low growing evergreen is a real gem. Growing as a 1 x 2 foot mounding shrub, it is completely clothed in finely serrated, narrow leaves less than an inch long. The eye-catching mahogany green winter color makes it great for growing under larger rhodies. Very hardy, full sun to part shade, does well in rich organic well drained soils.
