ACER palmatum 'Beni komachi'
|
Description: The name 'Beni Komachi' means "beautiful red-haired little girl." The plant matures at a medium height of 4–5 feet and has fine twiggy growth. The leaves have narrow deeply divided lobes, which are a bright shiny crimson in the spring. As the delicate new leaves emerge they begin to darken. The summer foliage is a
greenish red but retains the bright crimson edge. The fall
display is a show of scarlet. This choice "little girl" deserves a
place in your garden.
