FOTHERGILLA major 'Mt. Airy'
|
Description: Fothergilla are native members of the witchhazel family and are first-rate garden plants. They have honey scented, bottle-brush-like flower clusters in early spring before the leaves. This selection is widely regarded by nurserymen as one of the best due to its vigorous constitution and larger, more abundant flowers. It grows 5 to 6' tall. It also consistently produces spectacular, bright yellow/orange/ red fall color.
