ILLICIUM anisatum A dense, broad, pyramidal evergreen tree 6 to 10 feet tall. Creamy flowers 1 inch in diameter, are produced in March and April. more info |

ILLICIUM floridanum "Variegated" - Gold Centered leaves - Variegated leaves have irregular light green to gold centers. Odd pinwheel shaped flowers appear on dangling stalks in early May. Foliage has a refreshingly pungent aroma that deer do not like! Great evergreen shrub for shade. more info |

ILLICIUM floridanum 'Alba' Small evergreen tree. The whole plant has an attractive aroma, and deer leave them completely alone! Flowers are about an inch and a half in diameter. This variety has pure white flowers as opposed to the normal maroon-red. more info |

ILLICIUM floridanum 'Semmes' This selection has the typical star-shaped flowers though in white instead of the typical deep red. They show up nicely against the dark green lance-shaped foliage. Wonderfully fragrant foliage is very resistant to deer browsing. more info |

ILLICIUM henryi Has a combination of glossy, evergreen foliage, dense pyramidal form and shade-tolerance. The star-petaled, 1.5 inch flowers range from pink to deep crimson and bloom in late spring from the leaf axils. Leaves are anise-scented and deer-resistant. more info |

ILLICIUM mexicanum Possibly a subspecies of I. floridanum, the leaves are more pointed and the petioles and stems more reddish. Flowers are reddish, 1.5 to 2 inches across, occurring in late May, and occasional blooms may appear throughout the summer. more info |
