R. (azalea) Evergreen
EVERGREEN AZALEAS Many nurseries offer evergreen azaleas, some in great numbers. We offer them too, but try to limit the selection to those that we think have unique qualities. Even so, over the last two years we have tripled the number of evergreen azaleas in our catalog. Our list consists of those azaleas that not only have interesting or spectacular flowers, but also have the foliage and growth habits that make them good additions to the landscape throughout the year. Note that many of the size measurements are horizontal for low growers.

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Panda'
NEW! Probably the best selling white azalea in the UK but relatively unknown here in the US. 'Panda' features masses of pure white flowers on a compact dwarf plant with a low rounded shape. Hardy and reliable in the north. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Pink Pancake'
Prostrate grower as the name implies. Light pink flowers have red flares on the upper lobes. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Polypetalum'
AKA Orange Koromo Shikibu. Interesting flowers are reddish orange and the petals have a delicate strap-like shape. Blooms later than most, in early June. The foliage is narrow with a low spreading growth habit. more info

(C) The color is a bright red with a dark red blotch. The flower size is 3 inches across. Leaves are a glossy dark green. Plant habit is compact. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Rice Kernel'
(C) A seldom blooming azalea, the flower when it does bloom is a salmony red. 'Rice Kernel' refers to the leaves, which are linear, about a half inch long and arranged in whorls, giving the plant a soft almost furry appearance. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Ruth May'
Delicate salmon pink flowers with white bands from the tip to the throat of each petal provide an uncommonly warm tone. Medium growth rate, compact habit. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Salmellia'
The color is soft salmon pink, with a flower size of 2.5 inches. Leaves are medium green. Plant habit is compact. The flowers are fully double – just like a camellia. (Available June) more info
