R. (azalea) Evergreen
EVERGREEN AZALEAS Many nurseries offer evergreen azaleas, some in great numbers. We offer them too, but try to limit the selection to those that we think have unique qualities. Even so, over the last two years we have tripled the number of evergreen azaleas in our catalog. Our list consists of those azaleas that not only have interesting or spectacular flowers, but also have the foliage and growth habits that make them good additions to the landscape throughout the year. Note that many of the size measurements are horizontal for low growers.

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN Autumn Royalty™ Encore® Azalea 'Conlec' PP10580
Gorgeous deep magenta flowers in August and again in mid-spring. The blooms are large 3.5" single, rich purple in color. Voted Azalea of the Year by the American Rhododendron Society. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN Autumn Twist™ Encore® Azalea 'Conlep' PP12133
Amidst the unique white and purple striped blooms an occasional, completely purple bloom will appear. Combined with its beautiful dark green foliage, Autumn Twist's unique color pattern makes this variety a festive and fast growing addition to any garden. more info

Make a colorful statement in any landscape, spring through fall, with deep ruby red, petite blooms that work well in formal garden settings or as a small accent. Autumn Ruby™ is low-growing, good for mixed border plantings, mass plantings and containers. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Conversation Piece'
Unusually-colored azaleas are always attention-getters, and 'Conversation Piece' is no exception. Large white flowers with pink sectoring on a low, spreading plant make it a winning addition to any landscape. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Elsie Lee'
(C8) Striking double-flowered lavender blooms at the end of May. A durable old timer that is very hardy for an evergreen azalea. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Fawn'
A rediscovered Glenn Dale introduction! ‘Fawn’ bears white centered and purple-margined flowers, similar in color to the popular ‘Martha Hitchcock’ A plant of compact habit, it's useful as a groundcover. Blooms early to mid-season. more info

A lesser-known but excellent Glenn Dale hybrid azalea, 'Gaiety' has large 2-3" pink flowers with a darker blotch in early midseason. The plant habit is erect to broad spreading, reaching 5' tall and wide. Voted one of the best Glenn Dale cultivars. more info

This is a terrific plant from the Linwood azalea series. Deep bright rose pink flower are 1 1/4 inches across. more info

(C8) The flower color is an electrifying, pulsating, I-can't-take-my-eyes-off-it, orange/red. A superb grower with excellent dark green foliage. more info

(C8) Same flower (orange/red) as 'Girard's Hotshot' with leaves boldly margined with white. more info

Single white flowers with green spotting in the throat. Very prolific bloomer! Good glossy foliage on a broad spreading plant. more info

R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Girard's Rose Witch's Broom'
(C8) Blooms in mid-May. Single, deep rose red blooms on well proven variety. This is a dwarf branch mutation propagated from Girard's Rose which produces a compact, well branched slow growing mound for a tidy landscape shrub. more info

Large white flowers with faint green undertone set off by extra large dark leaves that have excellent, almost sculptural, texture. more info

A wonderful dwarf low spreading evergreen azalea that blooms in late May into June. The flowers are large with wavy edged overlapping lobes that are white with a rosy red flush. A great bonsai plant, introduced from Japan. more info
