Sciadopitys A highly distinctive and unusual conifer found in only one valley in Hondo, Japan. Thick, dark green needles are arranged in whorls resembling umbrellas, hence the name. Growth habit is conical and relatively slow, especially when young. This tree has a
"prehistoric" look to it.

SCIADOPITYS verticillata 'Vertigo' A Sciadopitys planted next to Hank's house turned out to
be a very impressive specimen, much narrower than most.
It's now 18-20' tall and 6-8' wide. Hank named it 'Vertigo',
we propagated it and finally they've gotten big enough to
sell. more info
