Pulmonaria (Lungwort) These dependable woodland plants illuminate the early spring scene from March through April with colorful flowers — usually pink aging to blue, with both colors occurring at the same time for a nice contrast. Some, especially the newer hybrids, flower in solid shades of raspberry, coral or red. Foliage begins to appear with the flowers, broad or narrow and often strikingly spotted with silver. In some selections the entire leaf may be silver. They thrive in most organic soils except heavy clay; about 50% shade is ideal. Our plants are well- established in the pot sizes indicated. You will not receive little 2 or 4 inch pots. Plants are usually removed from their pots for shipping and loose soil may be removed, but they're not bare-rooted.
