Hemerocallis
Daylilies are probably one of the best plants we know for a beginning gardener, or for someone who wants an easy-care, no-fuss plant with cheerful color during the hottest time of the year. Give them full sun if possible, average moisture and average soil, and you’ll be rewarded with flowers galore! Today, so many different daylilies are available that choosing which ones to grow can be difficult. We’ve chosen some we think are special, either for unusual color, superior growth habit or just all-around excellence.

HEMEROCALLIS 'Big Snowbird'
(C) Flowers are big, very white, and borne on strong, tall, well- branched scapes. Foliage is equally bold. more info

HEMEROCALLIS 'Corky's Child'
3.5" yellow flowers with some brown striping on backs of the sepals, very fragrant, 36" tall, extremely vigorous, multiplies rapidly. more info

HEMEROCALLIS 'Echo the Sun'
(C) This tall midseason bloomer has multitudes of flowers of pure intense bright yellow with no gold tones and a green throat. Very healthy dark green foliage. more info

(C) This little extra-early reblooming daylily keeps going clear until frost. Flowers are a clear bright yellow unlike the gold of 'Stella De Oro'. Narrow and low foliage makes a grassy clump. more info
