MAHONIA bealei Leaves are hollylike, leathery and spiny. Extremely fragrant yellow flowers in February and March, in a cluster up to 6 inches high and wide, followed by dramatic clusters of sky-blue fruit in June. more info

MAHONIA gracilipes An elegant shrub, blooming most unlike most in the genus, with huge sprays of little red flowers with yellow centers instead of the typical yellow. Leaves are bright white underneath. Supposedly hardy to Zone 7, but perhaps (we hope) 6b? more info
