Fothergilla Early spring blooming eastern native shrubs in the witch hazel family with showy white, honey-scented bottlebrush flowers and often great fall color. They vary tremendously in mature size depending upon species and cultivar, the smallest gardenii from 18" to the largest major to 10 feet! Two cultivars have striking blue summer foliage, 'Blue Mist' and 'Blue Shadow'.
