Hydrangea paniculata (Panicle, Pee Gee)
Hydrangea paniculata is probably best known by the old-fashioned culture “Pee Gee,” short for ”Paniculata Grandiflora.” These hydrangeas generally are sun- loving, tree-like shrubs with white flowers that turn pink or green with age. We offer a number of new introductions which have been selected for smaller plant size and improved flower colors. These also bloom on new wood, but remember that hard pruning increases flower size, and big flowers tend to be floppy!

(C8) The Swan is very unique and showy because its flower petals are nearly 5 times as large as the typical H. paniculata. These giant white blooms appear in midsummer and last into autumn. more info

A dwarf form of Pee Gee Hydrangea from Japan. The blooms start several weeks earlier than most other Pee Gees. They start green, open to white and age to a light pink color remaining attractive through the summer, set off by dark green foliage. more info

'Limelight' has unique bright green blooms in midsummer and they hold this bright and refreshing color right into autumn when they also develop some pink tones. more info

HYDRANGEA paniculata 'Little Lamb' PP15,395
(C8) 'Little Lamb' is unique because it has larger flower heads on a smaller plant. Individual flowers are small, but there are many more of them in the inflorescence. The pure white blooms turn pink in the Fall. more info

HYDRANGEA paniculata 'Phantom'
The large and lacy flower heads of 'Phantom' remain a creamy white instead of changing to green or pink like other cultivars and are held upright. Vigorous growth habit make this a great choice for a small tree or large shrub in full sun. more info
